FOX Orders ‘Delirium’ Pilot

Well, here’s some big news!  A television pilot based on Delirium is being developed for FOX.

From TV Line:

Delirium, penned by Karyn Usher (Prison Break), is based on a bestselling trilogy about a world where love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure. But with 95 days to go until her scheduled treatment, lead character Lena Holoway does the unthinkable and falls in love. Oops. Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope join Usher as EPs.

What does everyone think about this?  It should be interesting to see how this turns out.  Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!

The Past Is Nothing But A Weight

There’s no shortage of wisdom in Lauren Oliver’s Delirium, and this quote is just one more example of this.  We’ve shared many quotes from the trilogy with you simply because it’s so quotable.  It’s refreshing to find a book that is full of such lyrical lines that are also so very thought-provoking.  The complete quote is as follows:

“The past is nothing but a weight. It will build inside of you like a stone. If you hear the past speaking to you, feel it tugging at your back and running its fingers up your spine, the best thing to do is run.”

Keep moving forward, friends.

Jason Isaacs as Thomas Fineman – a fancast

We know the film adaptation of Pandemonium is still years away but there’s currently some fan casting going on.  What do you think of Jason Isaacs portraying Thomas Fineman?  Personally I don’t think I can ever look at him and not see Lucius Malfoy, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t do  the role justice!  Any thoughts on who you would like to see play the elder Fineman?  Let us know in the comments section below!
