New Fan Questions and Answers

Lauren has once again taken to her blog to answer some fan asked questions. Here are the questions asked and Lauren’s responses:

Will you be signing only Requiem or will I be able to bring Delirium too? Also will we be able to buy the special edition requiem or has it got to be ordered somewhere? Oops sorry for so many questions I’m just super excited 🙂

You can of course bring Delirium! Every first edition copy of Requiem will include the Alex short story, so make sure you preorder or get yours quickly! Requiem is available for purchase at every bookstore, and also at online retailers like Amazon.

Lauren are you gonna be involved with the tv adaptation of delirium? I love the series so much you’re an amazing author, please answer! -With love Sara

Hi Sara! I get to read the script and give notes, although most of the creative decisions are out of my hands. I’m super excited, though—I can’t wait to see what the brilliant minds in Hollywood come up with!

Lauren Oliver in Fantasy Authors Calendar

Lauren Oliver is taking part in a new fantasy author calendar!

Click here to see the details!

Lauren Zurchin is producing a 12 month calendar that will bring you twelve different photos of world-famous fantasy authors in custom costumes. Each photo will tell a story. Though they will range from light to dark in essence, overall there will be a dreamy, ethereal feel to the images. From what I’ve seen, this calendar is the first and only of its kind to bring a group like this together in such a way; this project is truly something unique.

So who is Lauren? (Well, Lauren Zurchin.) Some of you may know her from her award-winning photography, others may know her from and The Inheritance Cycle Book Club podcasts on But basically she is a fantasy-loving bibliophile who does photography to make a living and manages a book department on a scifi/fantasy website for fun.

So who are the authors involved? Lauren Oliver is involved in this calendar along side Cassandra Clare form the Mortal Instruments series and Christopher Paolini of the Inheritance Cycle, among others.

Costumes will be designed for each author and will be a chance to create fantasy art with the masters of fantasy themselves as the subjects!

You can donate to the Kickstarter and read all the details including the full list of authors an designers involved here!

Lauren Oliver Working on New Novel

Lauren recently answered a fans question via her blog regarding a new novel she is working on. Bellow is the question and Lauren’s answer

I’ve heard you’re working on a new standalone novel, are you able to give out any information about that yet? 🙂 (asked by world-without-walls)

It’s called PANIC! It’s a YA novel about a town that competes in a very dangerous game. It’s really different then anything I’ve written before, and I’m very excited about it. 🙂
